There was a nail polish article on the yahoo page today. Can you believe that “nail polish sales were up 59% for the first 10 months of the year and it fared better than any other beauty product in these tough financial times.” It’s so true because now there’s polishes that cost around 15-20 bucks a bottle (at Sehpora) and people like me without a job are buying them. Also there’s all these nail accessories that people are buying too…things like Crackle top nail polishes, Konad stamping kits, nail decals, and etc. Haha, of course these are the stuff I must have…. No wonder I don’t have much money. Well enjoy the article!

Another pedicure. I’ve done this over a week ago and just now decided to take some pictures to post them up. It’s a very simple and girly pedicure…I think…
These are the polishes I picked and steps I used:

Sally Hansen – Shall We Dance #160 (for the color)
OPI – Traffic-Stopper Cooper (for the shimmer)
Sally Hansen – Clear’d for takeoff #130 (to seal in everything)
Step one: I wanted a neutral shade so I picked Sally Hansen – Shall we dance. It’s a very nude pink shade. Very pretty. This polish is from the Complete Salon Manicure line. So it comes with a very wide brush which makes application very easy. I love polishes from that line.
Step two: Once the color coat dries I applied the OPI – Traffic-Stopper Cooper. Just to add a little glitter, a little bling to my manicure. I love the cooper color. And it goes very nicely with the nude pink. Since this polish comes with small and big glitter you do have to play around with the brush and polish to spread things around.
Step three: Once the glitter coat dries apply the final clear coat to seal everything up. Prefect!

Sorry about the tan lines. And as you can see this mani is old…my nails are beginning to grow out. Well enjoy! Hope you enjoy my post!

Sephora now carries a new line of nail polishes. Nails inc. London! This line carries colors from super glossy cream shades and liquid metals to shimmery metallic and glittery ones.
It’s $9.50 per bottle.
My sister and I tried on a couple at the store. I do have to say…they had a huge selections of colors.
We tried Buckingham Street, which is a shimmery purple. The polish was very sheer though. We weren’t impressed. We didn’t find it any different from other glittery polishes out there in the market.

Second bottle we tried was called Chelsea Square. Now this one was nice. Extremely glittery!! One coat covers up the whole nail. My sister liked it so much she purchased a bottle.

Here are some more pics taken at home.

Since it was so glittery and rough once you place a coat on…a top coat is required.
Check out all the colors Sephora carries here.
Hope you enjoy this post!

I have been lazy and haven’t used stamps in a while. I had a purple shirt so I decided to use a purple polish to match. I used the Sephora by OPI in Domestic Goddess. It was a little messy because the full nail plates are not big enough so I have to stamp multiple times to fill up the empty spaces. I still don’t know why they can’t make the images larger. There is room on the plate.

This one was from the ’10 holiday season. I’ve used it several times but haven’t had a chance to take pictures for the post. This is Sephora by OPI “Looks Like Rain, Dear” (don’t you like the puns?). Its a gold nail polish with very fine gold glitter and also has larger flakes that reflects all colors as you can see pictured in the bottle below. Most glitter nail polishes are mostly clear with just a little glitter, but this one is packed with glitter and has full coverage. With just two coats, you get a solid gold color, not a few specks of randomly scattered pieces of glitter. It reminds me of a glitter Christmas ornament. The only thing I don’t really like about it is that the finish is rough, as you get with glitter polishes, but a top coat helps fix that a bit. All in all, its a great fun polish.

I bought the BundleMonster nail plates from Amazon. This is the first time I used them. They’re such a good deal. 21 plates for $17.99. They work just as well as the Konad plates for a lot less. The full nail images are smaller though, but there are six images on the plate instead of four.

What I used:
Plate: BM16
Polish: Sephora by OPI “How cute is that?”
Stamp: Konad White

Shopped at Sephora again. I was trying to find some eye cream by found this instead. I couldn’t resist and got them. I brought the OPI Mini Nail Polish Set!! Aren’t they cute? This set cost me $18 bucks. I guess it’s on the pricey side huh?
I went home and tried the polishes right away. There’s four polishes in this package. From left to right, the colors are: Handpicked for Me, It’s a Bouquet for Me, Iris I was Thinner, and Leaf Him at the Alter. The bottles are sooo small.
All polishes goes on very smoothly. Also to my surprise it dries up pretty quickly too. Maybe because I did thin coats? Two coats of each color was used below. Finally after testing all colors I went and did a simple mani with “Handpicked for Me”. It’s so pink…so sparkly
Prefect spring colors!

Laura Mercier Powder Press
I love the little Laura Mericer press powder. It’s a smooth focus pressed setting powder for shine control (Matte translucent). It has no sent. And it goes on pretty well and of course like it says…it gets the shine off my face. If you plan to make a sephora order soon and want to try this pressed powder enter code NOSHINE at the checkout.
Now it’s time to try my polishes. Hmm, which should I use?? Check back tomorrow to find out!
